Stanleys is based at 10–11 Percy Street in Fitzrovia, just north of Oxford Street. We work with broadcasters, production companies and post-production facilities, as well as archives and private clients.
Formats and file delivery
We transfer professional and broadcast formats including:
- HDCAM and HDCAM SR
- Digital Betacam, Betacam SP, Betacam SX and IMX
- DVCAM, DVCPRO, DVCPRO HD and HDV
- XDCAM
- 1-inch and 2-inch, U-matic, and D1, D2, D3 and D5
Files are supplied as ProRes, MXF or H.264.
What to include in a tape enquiry
The format and number of tapes, including any you can’t identify.
Approximate running times, if they’re marked on the tapes or boxes.
Your delivery specification, if you have one. It’s optional: if you don’t, we’ll suggest a format when we quote.
Any tapes that are damaged or have been stored in poor conditions.
Footage on inaccessible storage media
If footage or project files can’t be read, stop using the card, drive or tape and contact us. Tell us what the media is, what happened and which files you need back. Our data recovery service covers:
- Camera media, including P2, SxS and XDCAM
- CF, SD, CFast, XQD and CFexpress cards
- Hard drives, SSDs, RAID and NAS systems
- LTO tapes
